Strawberry Cheesecake in a Jar – tantalisingly delicious, full of ripe fresh strawberries and rich creamy cheesecake. This delectable dessert in jar is a melt in the mouth sensation that is a real treat for your taste buds!
Strawberries and cream - quintessentially British and undoubtedly the perfect match. With Wimbledon around the corner we have reached that point in the summer months when everyone begins dusting off their tennis shoes, grabbing their rackets and making for the nearest court, garden, street, park or any other available space to hone their skills.
Happy Father’s Day to all you Dads out there! These sweet, sticky, absolutely decadent cupcakes are the perfect treat for any Dad on Father’s day. My Dad is sure getting a box of them…….shhhhhhhhhh it’s a secret! ;)
Raspberry Lemonade - sweet but tart, so refreshing and perfect on balmy afternoons imagining that you are in the Caribbean or sitting on the deck, the waves splashing against the beach, a good book in hand and nothing but a long glorious sun filled afternoon before you.
And while the glorious weather continues……………………..put your hand up if you remember eating Rocket lollies as a child?!?! So cooling on hot days and being a fruit lover I could never make up my mind which my favourite flavour was.
Plump juicy raspberry, tart but smooth lemon cream, crumbly coconut shortbread all topped with a sweet, tangy raspberry coulis. Sounds like summer to me!
Salted caramel cheesecake – doesn’t it just sound so perfectly, outrageously, sinfully delicious? It was as an idea first suggested by a friend’s father as it is his favourite dessert.
Rich shortbread – so delicious, light, melt in the mouth, crumbly and totally moreish. Perfect on its own, with strawberries and cream, crumbled over ice cream or as a base for pies, slices and desserts.
Orange freezer cake oooooh I just love these – so creamy and smooth and sooooooooo easy to make – you simply soak the cashew nuts for at least 4 hours and then blend all the ingredients together until completely smooth (about 2mins!!!!)
I woke up one morning to a glorious sunny day. As the sunshine streamed through my window sending a golden glow across the carpet I felt the promise of summer in the air.
So today I set myself a challenge. Cheap, quick to make, super healthy and super tasty. That should be easy. Ummmmmm……………………………….
Okay we have oats – yep you heard it here – oats are always nutritious being high in both fibre and protein, affordable and very versatile.
Sweet, rich and creamy with a flavour that bursts on your tongue this is definitely the most divine strawberry ice cream you will ever taste.
These truly are treats for tiny hands! My niece looks at me with those great big blue eyes and says ‘pease’………….’pease’ and I know she wants an ‘ocolate drop’ which she will proceed to spend the next 15 minutes consuming in order to savour the flavour for as long as humanly possible. These are her special sugar free, dairy free little indulgence which is important for my little niece who suffers from eczema and as a result can’t eat dairy.
Sometimes you get behind. It’s been a crazy week – you’re just so busy. You haven’t planned ahead. Dinner is over – you’re sitting around the table and someone asks ‘what’s for dessert?’ Gulp!
These yummy chocolatey orangey biscuits will just pop on your tongue and leave you wondering if you have room for another one – or two – or three.
This ice cream is just so rich and creamy – every mouthful is like a little piece of heaven! Many years ago whilst on a family vacation in the Lake District we were staying in a beautiful little town called Hawkshead.
Today I am babysitting for my gorgeous little niece and I promised her that next time she came over we would bake together. So I have been working on a recipe that I hope she will get as much fun from baking as scraping the mixing bowl (this took twice as long as baking the cupcakes in the oven!!!!)
You know those days when only something really really really super chocolatey will do? It’s not a day for half measures and you’re looking for something you can pretty much mix and eat. Well if you’re having one of ‘those’ days then this is definitely the recipe for you!
This was going to be a blog post about my new high protein, low calorie but still totally delicious peanut biscuits. I was going to tell you about just how easy they are too make, about the fact that you only need one bowl and a spoon.
